PBSA BASEBALL

PBSA administers baseball playing opportunities for players on the Peninsula aged three to adult in our Spring and Fall Programs with an emphasis on FUN, FRIENDSHIP, SKILL DEVELOPMENT and FITNESS.  All levels of experience and ability are welcome! Our Spring Leagues run from April to June and our Fall Leagues run from September to October.  PBSA is also proud to offer our long-standing Adult Challenger programming. The Adult Challenger League runs from May to July.

PBSA is a member of GVBA (Greater Victoria Baseball Association) playing to the rules set forth by the GVBA Universal House League, Official Rules of Baseball (Canadian Edition), and BC Baseball Association (BCBA).

Registration for our spring baseball programs run from December to February and August for our fall baseball programs. For our spring programs - winter clinics are hosted throughout January to March and team selection is coordinated in early spring after assessment clinics to evenly distribute players to balanced teams (for 9U through 18U leagues only).

Our Baseball Programs are administered by dedicated volunteer parent coaches and coordinated by our VP of Junior Baseball and VP of Senior Baseball.

Note: Your baseball age is based on your birth year (your age as of Dec 31 st of the year prior to the playing season).

CO-ED BASEBALL PROGRAMS:

5U Little Sluggers (ages 3-4): spring league

7U Rally Cap (ages 5-6):  spring league

9U Tadpole (ages 7-8):  spring and fall leagues

11U Mosquito (ages 9-10):  spring and fall leagues

13U Pee Wee (ages 11-12):  spring and fall leagues

15U Bantam (ages 13-14):  spring and fall leagues

18U Midget (ages 15-18): spring league

19+ Adult Challenger: spring league

Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Waitlists will be made where necessary.

Coaching Expectations:

Each team will ideally have one Head Coach and two Assistant Coaches.

Parent Expectations:

All parents will be required to perform volunteer duties, such as scorekeeping, field setup and take down, dugout clean-up, and are encouraged to assist the park in other ways. More information can be found in the volunteering section of our website.


PBSA Refund Policy

Registration fees will be refunded in full minus a $25 registration fee, upon written request up  until April 1 st

From Apr. 2 until first game 50% Refund

After April 21st , refunds will only be issued if a player cannot continue playing due to medical reasons (must have letter from doctor). For other extraordinary circumstances, exceptions to this policy may be granted by the VP of the division or the PBSA Board based on additional information submitted by the requester.

Players requesting a refund for medical reasons, will have their registration fees partially refunded based on how much of the season they have played. In order to receive refund, player must return league jersey and any other equipment that belongs to the club.

No refunds for any reason after May 10th .
